USP promotes in 17 days and 18 of October the second edition of the event, which brings science to population of playful and informal mode. Action takes place on Campus and other units, as well as the interior of SP
In 17 days and 18 October, Saturday and Sunday, the second edition of the turn. This is a great event promoted by the Office of culture and extension of USP, and featuring programming with more than 150 actions only in the city of São Paulo, in addition to other attractions within USP campuses.
The bulk will be concentrated in University City, which have activities and lectures within the units and also a central space mounted on square of the Clock. With the theme "the Village", this space will rescue the relationship between science and the occupation of the city, offering new perspectives for urban issues that don't always have their relationship with science remembered by people.
An example is the skate, which will be present at the scene in playful activities and lectures as "the perfect half pipe", given by professor of the Institute of mathematics and statistics Eduardo Colli, which also coordinates the Scientific Twist.
Also in the village, there will be lectures ("non-motorized urban mobility", "art and Street", "sex, Power and chemical", among others, all with researchers and teachers of USP or special guests), Art project science workshops Science Park workshops & of biology (biodiversity, DNA extraction and other), exhibition on neglected diseases, gymnastics and circus workshops.
Eduardo Colli States that "this approach of the village turn demand contribute a fairly current on the use of the street, proposing to bring the vision of science on the public space of interdisciplinary way".
Eduardo reinforces that "it's not exactly a theme the turn as a whole, because the activities and conferences seek to go further, including approaches on health, quality of life and phenomena of nature". Inside the village the turn, a square of food trucks will be assembled especially for the event.
